Martha Venable, 82 of Hewitt, Tx entered Heavenly Peace on Sunday August 27, 2023. Graveside Services will be at Riesel Cemetery on Wednesday August 30, 2023, at 2:30 pm with Darrell Lehrmann officiating.
Martha was born on December 23rd to Charlie and Myrtle (Ragland) Jackson in Groesbeck, Texas. She spent most of her life in Riesel, Tx attending Riesel ISD, Class of 1959. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, friend but her most cherished role was ''Gaga'', she loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Martha was the youngest of 9 children. She was proceeded in death by 7 siblings and her parents. She is survived by one sister, Mary Hughes of Waco, Tx. Daughters: Diane Summers (Clay) of Otto, Tx., Janice Dryden (Joseph) of Hewitt Tx., Sons: James Venable Jr (Vickie) of Hallsburg, Tx., Jeffery Venable (Nicole) of Lorena, Tx., Grandchildren: Kayla McVeay (Shane), Cory Summers (Melanie), Joseph Goldman, Nikki Wade (Lane), Chesni Reddick (Joseph), LeighAnn and Lane Venable, Cadience, Kimberly and Colton Venable and Brandon Knapp, Great Grandchildren: Ian Lehrmann, Jayce Beayrd, Kammie McVeay, Easton and Harper Summers, Leasha Goldman (fiancé Jordan), Brynlee and Rhylynn Wade, Kinsley, Joseph, Lindsey and Sue'Ann Reddick, Diane Eckerle, Lyra and Roen Knapp and several nieces, nephews and friends.
She worked as a Pharmacy Tech most of her life and retired from the pharmacy at the V.A. Hospital.
The family would like to Thank, Blue Bonnett Hospice and St. Anthony's Care Center for all the love and care they provided her! Special Thanks to Julie, Jessica, Janie and Brandi of Blue Bonnett Hospice and Rita, LeighAnn, Tina and Arturo of St. Anthony's. Lisa Smith, Gina Sims and Robin Wilson-Offerdahl, Bellmead Funeral home and so many more that helped through her journey.
