Mary Leathers, 86, of Waco, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 19 at Mt. Antioch Cemetery with Stacy Dobecka officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bellmead Funeral Home. Mary was born December 7, 1923 in Bynum, TX. to John Freeman and Mary Myrtle (Bean) Reddell. She married Roy Eugene Yates and he preceded her in death in 1944, she married Troy "Blackie" Leathers and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was past member of Axtell Baptist Church, past employee of the Bomb Factory in Mc Gregor and past employee of Owen Illinois Glass Plant for 28 years. Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Yates Allison and husband S.C. of Hewitt, Vickie Leathers Moore and husband Dale of Waco: sons, Mickey Leathers of Austin, Roger Leathers and wife Betty of Pflugerville, Ronnie Leathers and wife Sue of Hubbard: brother, John Reddell and wife June of Ft. Worth; one special niece, Billie Jean Estes and a special friend, Joan King: 7 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild:several nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers, Rod Allison, Stephen Moore, Matt Amburgey, David Dobecka, Matt Lassig and Brad Mc Hargue.
