Mary L. Osborne 93, of Waco passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Rosemound Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Blackshear officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 2 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Mary was born May 3, 1915 in Malone, TX. to C. P. and Roxie Ann (Sevier) Gunter. She worked in the Meat Dept at H. E. B. and retired after 20 years. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church formerly the Turner Street Baptist Church. Mary was a descendant of the 1st Governor of Tennessee John Sevier and Robert Sevier who was killed in the Battle at King's Mountain in the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husband O. A. Hill in September 1979, husband Calvin Osborne, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 1 granddaughter and 1 great-granddaughter. Survivors include her daughters, Billie Boatman and husband Marion of Elk, Mary James and husband C. L. of Robinson, sisters, Annie Fletcher of Waco, Maxine Whitney of Amarillo, grandchildren Donald Easter, Roger Easter and wife Cindy, Dennis Easter and wife Cathy, James McCullough and wife Karen, Darrell McCullough, Tammie McCullough, Carlton James and wife Shelly, Keith Boatman and Vicki Simpson and husband Gary, 14 great grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
