Mary Walpole, 70, of Axtell, passed away Monday, August 9 in a Plano hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 13 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Kerry Groce officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 12 at the funeral home. Mary was born September 6, 1939 in Waco, to Enoch Lee and Myrle Mozelle (Jackson) Ray. She worked for the K-Mart Corporation as a supervisor for many years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.D. Lemley in 1994, her parents and a sister, Mozell Youmans. Survivors include her husband, Larry Walpole of Axtell; daughters, Sherry Pierce and Carol (Tink) Curtis; son, Elvin Lemley and wife Sherry all of Axtell, son, Rockey Lemley and wife Terry of Waco; step daughters, Jennifer Salazar and husband Blas, Kasaundra Turner and husband James; step son, Jeremy Walpole and wife Alisa all of Waco; sisters, Wanda Gaffron of West, Martha Little of Cleburne; brother, Eddie Ray of Axtell; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
