Mavis Cozette (Hurn) Dutton passed away September 15, 2012 in Waco, Texas after a brief illness. She was born February 6, 1936 to John William Hurn and Anna Debba (Hensley) Hurn of Cheney, Kansas. She graduated from Cheney High School and attended Kansas State University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was married to Maurice Dutton on June 23, 1956. They had three children: Michelle Debba, Michael Kevin and Mark Douglas. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and her son, Michael. She is survived by her husband Maurice of Waco; daughter Michelle Marker, son-in-law Burt Marker and granddaughters Sierra Marker and Brynn Marker of Greene, NY; son Mark, daughter-in-law Michelle Baca and grandsons Andrew Dutton and Kevin Dutton of Albuquerque, NM; her brother and sister-in-laws David and Jennifer Dutton of Benbrook, TX and fifteen nieces and nephews. She was a very intelligent, loving and giving person who made life better and more joyous for all who knew her. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 1100 Austin Avenue, Waco, Texas. At 1 PM, on October 13, 2012.
