Melba Ruth Ford, 72, of Waco passed away Wednesday January 4 at a local hospital. Services will be 10 am Saturday, Jan. 7 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday, Jan. 6 at the funeral home. Melba was born March 13, 1939, in Gorman, Texas to Alvin Ernest and Ila Mae (Bockman) Cogburn. She graduated from Deleon High School in 1957 and attended College in Fort Worth. She married James Marion "Jack" Ford on June 28, 1963. She retired from Central Texas Economic Development District. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2005; 2 sisters Thelma Holland and Belle Thompson; and 4 brothers Rex, Dee, Lewis and Alton Cogburn. Survivors include her daughters, Connie Ford of Waco and Terri Harringer and husband Rodney of Riesel; sisters Faye Broseh of Hurst and Helen Willhoite of Austin; brothers Gene Cogburn of Dublin and Travis Cogburn of Purdon; 4 grandchildren Brandon Ford, Eric Harringer, Mike Harringer and Alan Harringer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Larry Broseh, Randy Broseh, Mack Broseh, Roger Cogburn, Darrell Cogburn and Willie Holland.
