Melvin Burnett Hunt, 78, of Ava, MO, formally of Stanwood, Washington for over 20 years passed away December 8, 2010 in Springfield, MO. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am to 12 noon Friday, Dec. 17 at Bellmead Funeral Home in Waco, TX. Melvin was born April 2, 1932 in Coppell, Texas to James and Myrtle (Sanders) Hunt. He was a salesman for Vic Cox's Home Center in Smokey Point, Washington for about 30 years and served in Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a world renowned Cock Fighter which was his true love for many years and enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em. He is survived by one son, Bobby Lewis Hunt and Sarah Arnold and their three children of Sedro Woolley, WA; grandson, Timothy Lewis Garza of White Settlement, TX and great grandson Jayen; brother, J. R. Hunt and sister Winnie Jensen both of Azle, TX and several nieces and nephews.
