Michael Dulock, 59, of Elk, passed away Wednesday March 8, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk with Father Walter and co-officiant Father Benjie. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, followed by the Rosary recited by Father Benjie of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. at Bellmead Funeral Home.
Born June 20, 1963 to Walter and Lillian (Stuchly) Dulock in Waco, TX. He moved to Elk, TX at the age of one and grew up and learned many valuable lessons of life working at the family business, the Elk Store, for many years.
He graduated from Axtel HS in 1981 and graduated from Baylor with a BA in Political Science in 1985 and a MBA from Baylor in 1987. He worked in various capacities in the financial service industry in the Waco area for over thirty years, the last twenty years as internal auditor at Members Choice Federal Credit Union, the job he most enjoyed of his professional career.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lillian Dulock in February 2004 and Walter Dulock in November 2010, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close family friend, George Krupa.
Survivors include several cousins, especially Tracy Dulock Taylor & husband, Henry of ¬-Harrison, TN and their children Richard Alexander, Mary Elizabeth & husband, David Yingst, and child, Eloise Rose, and Rebecca Lynne; April Dulock Swift & husband, Wylie of Brownsboro, TX and children Tara, Josh, Linda, Wylie Jr. and Bill. Close circle of friends which were considered like family to Mike and provided years of friendship and memories are Ken & Velinda Haltom of Belmead, and their children Lance Haltom of Elk and Desiree Sosa & husband Adrian and their children Aubree and Kenzlee of Lacy Lakeview; Darren & Lisa McKethan of Elk and their children John Mark, Presley and Will and his wife Kaitlyn; Trevor & Kem Wardlaw of McGregor and their children Patrick, Brett and Tory; Basil & Frances Margiotta of Marlin and Wanda Cornell of Mart.
Pall bears will be Ken Haltom, Lance Haltom, Darren McKethan, John Mark McKethan, Will McKethan and Trevor Wardlaw. Honorary Pall Bearers will be members of the Elk Volunteer Fire Department, where Mike served as treasurer for many years, and the Board of Directors of the EOL Water Supply Corporation, where Mike served as the Director for many years, as well.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk; Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waco or the Elk Volunteer Fire Department.
