Michael Wayne Osborne, age 62, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 surrounded by his family after a valiant fight with cancer. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff with Rev. Aryn Mojica officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Bellmead Funeral Home.

Michael was born June 17, 1955 in Frankfurt, Germany the son of James William and Mary (Kurtz) Osborne. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1973. Mike was employed by Amaco Oil Company and Santa Fe Drilling and worked in Spain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Russia. In Russia, he was a counselor for the oil rig company. He was a service truck driver for Young Brothers and a truck driver for Chuck White Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Donald Osborne, Sr. and Steven Osborne; uncle, Joe Kurtz.

Mike is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karen Riel Osborne; daughter, Rose Osborne; stepdaughter, Megan Riel; stepson, Robert Riel II; mother, Mary Osborne; sister, Gloria Osborne; parents in law, John A Sykora, Jr. and Nolene Sykora and his beloved dog, "Rowdy".

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Scott and White Hospice, especially nurse Pam, Alisha, Kelly and Tammy.

Mike fought the good fight. Rest in peace. We love you and miss you.
