Nelta Faye Cogdill

Nelta Faye Cogdill, 84, passed away February 12, 2025 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 – 11:00am with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Private burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Troy. TX.

She was born on March 10, 1940 in Belton, TX to W.B. “Bill” Painter and Viola Kelley Painter. Nelta received her GED from Panama Canal Zone in 1971. During her working career, she worked for Waco Independent School District and Melody Ranch. Nelda had a passion for cats and loved to take care of her own cats.

Nelda is survived by Schenando (Jon) Nason, Charlotte Dombrowski, Jimmie Peterson, Jr., Nydia (Richard) Krystofiak, Craig (Gemma) Peterson, Worth (April) Peterson, Brentford (Nicole) Peterson, 18 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
