Ola Mae (Jackie) Welsh, left this world for one of eternity with her Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 17th. Visitation for friends and family will be Friday night, March 20th from 6 to 8 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Her nephew, Reverend Vernon Gatlin will conduct services Saturday, March 21st at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel of Bellmead Funeral Home in Waco, Texas with burial following in Rosemound Cemetery. Jackie was born on November 9, 1929 in Waco, Texas to Wallace and Virgie Smith Gatlin. She married Henry Moody, "Pete" Cantrell in January 1949. He joined his Heavenly Father in December of 1960. In later years, she found happiness and joy once again as she wed William Robert (Billy Bob) Welsh after a long courtship in 1990. He, too, was taken from this life for one of eternity in 1994. She lived most of her life in Waco, Texas where she retired from Fleetwood Mobile Homes in 1990 and operated her own business for several years before her second retirement. In 2006, Jackie moved to Wichita Falls to be near her family where she enjoyed a happy life, wonderful home and blessed her daughters and friends with many more wonderful memories. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends and her very blunt and honest comments, yet wonderful sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands mentioned above, a very dear companion for several years Harold Allen, her brothers, Jimmy Gatlin, Gene Gatlin, Arlie Gatlin, Harlie Gatlin and Lloyd Gatlin. She is survived by her two daughters, Regina Cantrell Gustin and her husband Robert of Fort Worth, Sheila Cantrell Moeller and her husband Charlie of Holliday, Texas, two brothers, Billy and David Gatlin and her sister, best friend and "other daughter", Shirley Brunson. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Justin Lee Casey and former wife, Delyssa and their two daughters, Sydney and Mallory, Matt Craig and his wife Sara and their daughter, Kimber Mattie Mae, Christi Loney and her husband Michael and their son, Aiden Russell and Brad Litteken and his wife, Nynemi, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
