Ollie Gail Brown, 69, of Axtell, passed away Monday November 7, 2016.

Services will be 11 am Friday, November 11, 2016 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kerry Groce officiating. Burial will be at Axtell Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, November 10, at the funeral home.

Gail was born January 7, 1947 in Waco, to Olive Roscoe and Mary Ruth (Yates) Brown. He graduated from Axtell High School in 1965 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. Gail served in the US Army. He was a Heavy Weapons Platoon Leader, 1st Infantry, Big Red One Division in the Vietnam War. He married his soulmate, Irene Reich on June 20, 1970. He was a dedicated father to their 4 children and a loving and attentive grandfather to their 10 grandchildren. He was a retired rural mail carrier, horse trainer, Prairie Hill Masonic Lodge #741, Karem Shriner, 4- H leader, and a friend to everyone he knew.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and his father.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Ruth Brown; his daughters, LaShanya Nash and husband, Brent, Andrea O'Hair and Laura Dollar and husband, Matt; his son, Phillip Brown and wife, Ashley; his brother, Dennis Brown; his grandchildren, Ethan and Emberlee Nash, Hadley, Asa and Hannedy O'Hair, Cambree, Cannon and Callyn Dollar and Aubrey and Autumn Brown.
