Oranell Schronk Federwisch, 91, of Riesel, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ in Riesel, Texas. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. The visitation will be at Bellmead Funeral Home, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3. Oranell was born to Herman and Freda Weiss Schronk at Malone, Texas on January 23, 1921. Oranell welcomed a baby sister, Lydia, a little over one year later. Oranell moved to Riesel when she was 4 and resided there until her death. She attended Riesel Schools. She met and married Walter "Bevo" Federwisch. There life in Riesel revolved around running a Sinclair gas station, going to Friedens United Church of Christ, supporting the Riesel Lions Club, and supporting anything else that pertained to the community of Riesel. In her later years Oranell developed a fondness for cats. She fed many stray cats. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Oranell was survived by her sister Lydia Mullens of Robinson; four nephews, Jimmy Mullens and wife Bonnie of McGregor, Larry Mulllens and wife Rosann of Robinson, Steven Mullens and wife Karen of Robinson, and David Mullens and wife Diane of Lorena; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Mullens, Larry Mullens, Steven Mullens, David Mullens, Brad Mullens, Brandon Mullens. A special thank you to the caring staff of Odyssey Hospice and Lake Shore Village Health Care, who gave excellent attention and care to her during her final years.
