It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paula, 70 of Waco, Texas who peacefully departed this life on March 21, 2025 at her home.
Born on July 30, 1954 to James Thomas Smith Sr. and Grace Adele (Shannon)Smith.
She dedicated 27 years of her working life to Southwestern Bell phone company as a Customer service rep. She has spent the last 17 years with Fema working natural disasters.
She loved to travel the world where she spent time every summer for the last 30 years in the Cayman Islands with her friends. She loved the outdoors and camping and fishing with family. There were many times she would outfish everyone even big Jim, she also had a love for her Dallas Cowboys football team win or lose. The time she spent with her grandkids and great grandkids, was cherished. She was definitely a feisty one at times, but we all knew that, she would also give her shirt off her back to anybody in need.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and a sister Gala Smallwood.
Survivors include her sisters, Liz Vrba, and Tina Smith, her brother Jimmy Jr. Smith, and wife Vickey, her son Ron Williams and wife Casey, Daughter Jamie Anderson and husband Scott
Grandchildren, Colton Anderson (Sarah), Chandler Anderson (Makayla) Caden Anderson (Madi), Darian Reid (Larry), Austin, Bentley, Greyson and Addison Williams. Seven great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to express our thanks to Trina and the rest of the staff at Halcyon for the care during our mother‘s illness.
We are planning a celebration of life at a later date.
