Pauline Ellis Queener McCaleb, 73, of Waco, passed away Sunday, July 10. Services will be 2:30 pm Thursday, July 14 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Lost Prairie Cemetery near Groesbeck. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, July 13 at the funeral home. Pauline was born 1 of 12 children on December 20, 1937 in Reagan, Texas to Hubard Autry and Willie Leonous (Pipin) Ellis. She grew up in Ben Hur, Texas where she attended school and was baptized behind the Baptist Church. She married James Queener, had 3 daughters and enjoyed camping, boating, trail riding and doing things as a family. She also liked to water ski, but dancing 4 or 5 nights a week was her favorite. She worked at Owens Illinois Glass Plant for 20 years. She later worked for Waco Printing and retired after 15 years of service. Pauline married Ben McCaleb in 1992, he passed away in 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 8 sisters; and 3 brothers. Survivors include her daughters Debbie Brooks and husband George of Killeen, Paula Haynes and husband Mike of Hewitt and Donna Culverhouse of Waco; brother John Ellis and wife Sharon of Red Oak; 7 grandchildren Terrance McKissack, Casey High, Amber Valladares, Kimberly Brown, Sheena Uptmor, James Srubar and Terry Haynes; great grandchildren Desiree McKissack, Alex Lockhart, Damien Joseph and Cambree Srubar; her best friend of over 50 years Margaret "Sis" Blackburn of Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rubin Trevino, Mike Winstead, Kenneth Walts, Kenneth Ellis, Troy Ellis, Dwayne Kavanaugh, Jimmy Rogers Jr. and Larry McKinley. The family would like to thank everyone at Bluebonnet Hospice for the care and support during her final battle with cancer.
