Pearl LaVesta Spees, 94, of Bellmead, passed away Saturday, September 20 in Waco. Graveside services will be 10 am Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Lester Adams officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Pearl was born July 19, 1920 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to George McThomas and Pearl Edna (Wymore) Wilson. Being a military wife she enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Odell Spees; sons, Johnnie and Rickie Spees; and brothers and sisters, Rebecca, Goldie, Winnie, Hazel, Sylvia, Ethel, Jim, Clarence, George, John, Woodrow and her twin brother, Paul. Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Mack and husband, Bobby of Lacy Lakeview; grandchildren, Lial Mack, Tina Collins, Sherry Mack, Angie Garrett and Shelly Townes; great grandchildren, Haylee, Mallory, Zoe, Chance, Brandon, Johnnie and Benjamin; great-great grandchildren, Sophia, Rachel, Riley and Chelsea; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to everyone at Providence Hospice and Providence Hospital for their loving care and support.
