Raymond T. Wells 87 of Bellmead passed away Wednesday January 7, 2009 at his residence.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday January 9, 2009 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Duane Hoxworth officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 to 9 pm Thursday January 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Wells was born April 9, 1921 in Moshien, TX to Gus and Nancy (Holt) Wells. He served in the Army during WWII and married Violet Jenkins on February 2, 1946 in Springfield Missouri. He retired from General Tire & Rubber Co. after 34 years of service, was a member of the American Legion Post #121 and Praise Temple Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Violet Wells of Bellmead, His children, Travis Wells and wife Joyce of Red Oak, Gene Wells and wife Betty of Riesel, Phyllis Andalib and husband Ali of Ft. Lauderdale, Kenneth Wells and wife Tineca of Robinson, His sister, Janie Marshall of Austin, Brother, Willie Wells and wife Janie of Chilton, Brother in Law, Virgil Brummett of Cameron, 3 granddaughters, Dayna Dulworth, Lori Manley, Candace Johnson, 7 grandsons who will be pallbearers Douglas Wells, Travis Wells, Waylon Wells, Afsheen Andalib, Arveen Andalib, Lucas Wells and David Wells, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, 1 great- great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
