Reverend Jason Allen McCash, age 43, passed away April 4, 2017 at his home in Waco after a fourteen month struggle with multiple myeloma. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Timber Crest Baptist Church with Reverend Ashley Payne officiating. A private interment will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Jason was born March 29, 1974 to Gary and Suzette McCash in Euless, Texas. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1992, Dallas Baptist University in 1998 and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001 after dedicating his life to the ministry at an early age. On June 5, 1999 Jason married Courtney Dye in Hurst, Texas and was the father of Katherine Nicole, age 11 and Owen Ames, age 9. Jason joined the U. S. Army in 2004 and was commissioned a Captain in the Chaplains Corp serving with the 3/320th FA (Rakkasans) of the 101st Airborne Division as Battalion Chaplain, which included a years deployment to Iraq from 2005 to 2006. Jason pastored churches in Crofton, Kentucky and Dallas, Texas before becoming pastor of Timber Crest Baptist Church in Waco in July of 2014.

Jason left this world with no enemies. He knew and served the Lord.

Survivors include his wife, Courtney McCash; children, Katherine and Owen; parents, Gary and Suzette McCash; father in law and mother in law, Tommy and Debbie Hodge; brother in law and spouse, Josh and Kelsey Dye and their son, Caleb; mother in law, Amelia Dye.
