Bob was born December 28, 1921 to Thomas Andrew and Anna Mae (Sellers) Evans. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on April 1, 1942 and served his country in the Pacific Theater during World War II. After his discharge in 1946, he married his childhood sweetheart, Peggy Sue Huber. Bob graduated from Baylor University in 1950 with a science degree and worked many years in the oil and gas industry., first in Port Arthur, then Houston and briefly in Illinois. He met the second love of his life, Renate, in 2008 and they married a few months later.
Bob his survived by his wife, Renate Evans; sons and daughters in law, Gary & Elizabeth Evans and Tracy & Sherry Evans; grandchildren, Stephanie Rene Evans, Thomas Andrew Evans II, Erin Elizabeth Dickey, Emily Elaine McCormick, Ellen Elise Evans and Haley Nicole Evans. Great grandchild, Rylington Jonathan Dickey; and extended family of Hernan Hernadez, Jr. & wife, Kristi, Elizabeth Balles & husband Tony, Joseph Hartel and wife Deana; grandchildren, Matthew Hernandez, Michelle Hernandez, John Carl Hernandez, Juliana Hernandez, Nicole Hernandez, Joseph Roy Hernandez, Nikolas Hernandez, Sebastian Hartel and Tristan Hartel; great grandchild, Esperanza Hernandez.
