Rolan K. Swank, 76, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. A funeral will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bruce Austin officiating . Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the funeral home. Rolan was born June 16, 1938 in Lubbock, Texas to Ernest E. and Juanita (White) Swank. He served in the U. S. Army. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and was involved in the Circle 10 District Council . Rolan was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and R. A. leader at the First Baptist Church in Bellmead and was known as Pop Swank. He worked for Bird-Kultgen Ford for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leeland Swank, Byron Swank, John Bob Swank, and his twin, Olan Swank; sister, Frances Jackson; granddaughter, Lillian Joy Swank; great grandson, Chase Allen Swank . Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Waco; daughter, Susan Swank Maxwell and husband, Eric of Hutto; sons, Stephen Key Swank and Paul W. Swank and wife, Brandy all of Waco; sister, Janet Scheutz and husband Al of Waco; brother, Jerry Swank and wife, Rose of Waco; sister in law, Shirley Swank of Lorena; brother in law, Winn Jackson of Louisiana; grandchildren, Kyle Swank and wife, Lindsay, Kevin Swank and wife, Christy, Holly Mathews and husband, Spencer, Elizabeth Maxwell and Tanner Maxwell. Great grandchildren, Kaylee Swank, Wyatt Swank and Colton Swank. Rolan was looking forward to the birth of his twin grandchildren who are due to be born in October.
