listed in the Waco Tribune as ''the year's heavyweight champion'' born at Hillcrest Hospital
to Robert and Mildred Wolske weighing over 11 pounds and having 2 teeth. Ronnie passed
away at Baylor Scott and White on May 20, 2024, at age 72.
Ronnie was a lifelong Waco resident attending LaVega schools where he played multiple
sports and was named to the 1969 ''Super Centex'' football team. He graduated from La
Vega High School in 1970. He attended MCC from 1970-1972 and after a break attended
Baylor University, graduating in 1996. He worked in education at several locations in Waco
including Parkdale Elementary teaching special education for many years. He enjoyed
helping and teaching others and worked for several years as a financial counselor for a
church sponsored inner city ministry. He was a lifelong learner, an avid reader, enjoyed
playing golf with his brother Bobby and spending time with his family and church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Hill Wolske, his brother
Bobby Wolske and his sister and brother-in-law Bill and Betty Wolske Bitner. He is survived
by sister-in-law Cathy Wolske, and multiple nieces and nephews.
