Roy E. Kokel, 92, of Waco, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20 at his residence. Services will be 11am Friday, Feb. 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Woodway. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7 to 9 pm Thursday, Feb. 24 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Born August 3, 1918 in Walberg, Texas, Roy spent over 40 years as a Barber and was co owner of Diamond Point Barber Shop in Waco. He was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church. His wife Flora Kokel preceded him in death in 2001. Survivors include his daughter Cindy Jensen and husband Damian of Waco; son Roy E. Kokel Jr. of Allen; brother Earnest Kokel Jr.; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
