Ruth Marie Warren, 78, of Axtell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 20, at a local nursing home. Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 23 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Troy Cobb officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday, April 22 at the funeral home. Mrs. Warren was born October 22, 1932, in Waco to Tony and Ruby (Peppers) Langley. She attended school in Eddy, Texas. She was a loving mom and memaw to her grandchildren. She was a homemaker and loved to crochet and read Christian novels. Her favorite book of all was the Bible. Mrs. Warren was first of all a Christian, loving wife, mother, step mother, grandmother, foster and adoptive mother. She raised as many children that wasn't her own as well as the house full of children that actually was hers. She was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church in Riesel. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 31 years, Robert Lee Warren Sr.; daughter Elizabeth Killoran; son Wiley Henderson; step son Tommy Warren and infant grandson Trinity Smith. Survivors include her step sons Charles Warren and wife Connie of Riesel and Johnny Warren and wife Cathy of Bellmead; daughters Nora Tindell and husband Billy of Axtell, Toni Stein and husband Danny of Riesel and Missy Benner and husband Terry of Waco; sons Andy Warren of Axtell, Robert Warren Jr. and wife Lisa of Speegleville and William Warren and wife Lynda of Hallsburg; half sister Annie Pearl Etheredge and half brother Mickey Guyton; her grandchildren Jeremy, Mindy, Brandon, Josh, Cory, Amber and Trevor; great grandchild Emilia and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gary Rutledge Sr, Roy Lee Tindell, Kevin "Bubba" Harris, Casey Craft, Dennis Bagby and Russell Rex. Mrs. Warren will be truly missed but never forgotten by her family, church family and friends.
