Ruth Noreen Pierce

Ruth Pierce of Waco went home with be the Lord on September 9, 2024. She was born on June 21, 1936 in Crawford, TX to William Jones and Mattie Daniels-Jones. 

Visitation: 6pm-8pm Thursday September 12, 2024 at Bellmead Funeral Home, 809 Laclede, Bellmead, TX.

Graveside Service: September 13, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery with Pastor Mike Chance officiating.

In 1956, Ruth met and married James L. Pierce and they were married 49 years. The couple had 3 children, Michael, Debbie, and Melissa. She also helped raise James' children Birdie, Jimmie Lou, James Jr, and Patsy. 

Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was a devoted Christian of Apostolic faith believing in Acts 2:38 as the plan of salvation. She was baptized in the name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at a early age. She dedicated her life to the Lord. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and making homemade pies. She would often pay her son-in-laws and grandchildren for odd jobs around the house with her baked goods.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, William and Mattie Jones, 11 siblings and great-granddaughter, Kendall Ruth.

Ruth is survived by her children Michael Pierce and wife Monette, Debbie Karl and husband James, and Melissa Pierce. Grandchildren: Jesse Pierce and wife Michelle, Tamara Ratliff and husband Josh, Melody Caufield and husband Nick, Leanne McMains, Dylan Karl and wife Jamie, Justin Stunkel and wife Lauren, Ryan Stunkel, Brandon Stunkel, James Stunkel, LeeAnn Karl-Gillispie and husband Gary, and James Karl Jr. She had 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be James Karl, Dylan Karl, Josh Ratliff, Nick Caufield, Jesse Pierce, and Gary Gillispie.

Special appreciation and thanks to the staff and nurses at West Rest Haven in West, TX for all the care and kindness that you have shown our mother during her stay there.
