Terry Ray ''TR'' Shely passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022.
Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Adams officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the funeral home.
TR was born May 15, 1944 in Del Rio, Texas to Terry and Alma Shely, one of eleven children. He graduated from Premont High School in 1962 and as a teenager he worked in his parents gas station.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded many decorations. After the War TR got a job at the Corpus Christi Grain Exchange where he worked for over 30 years until retiring as a Grain Inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence, Gene and Jim; sisters, Opal, Nita, Mary, Charlotte, Alma Lee and Minnie; and stepson, Marcus Allen DeBoer.
He is survived by his sister, Norma Mellon and her husband Randy; his spouse, Judy; stepdaughters, Charlie Ann and her family, Annette McCutcheon and her husband Jerry and Linda Whited and her family; step-son, Robert ''Bobby'' DeBoer; grandchildren, Jerry Wayne McCutcheon and his wife, Desiree, Dakota Whited, Mikayley Johnson, Kelsey Whited, Billy Joe ''BJ'' McCutcheon and Melissa Ann DeBoer; great-grandchildren, Kalista and Calix; and countless nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
TR had a real love for animals. Especially dogs, and children. He was a loving person, as anyone who knew him could attest, and he would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more. Another great love of his was the Dallas Cowboys and the Baylor Bears. He enjoyed most Sports and Western movies. TR had a great love of hunting and would spend most of the Winter months at his deer lease.

Pallbearers will be Jerry, B.J., Jerry Wayne and Kalista McCutcheon, Dale and Billy Jones, Jeff Miller, Jack Terrell and Dakota Whited.
