Theodore Weldon Bordovsky of Elk, Texas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, at Bellmead Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Elk with Father Isadore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Theodore was born near Mart, Texas, on January 2, 1924, to Adolph Bordovsky and Annie Kubitza Bordovsky. He attended school in Hallsburg and Riesel. He joined the United States Navy in May, 1944 where he served as Motor Machinist's Mate Third Class until he was Honorably Discharged in February, 1946. On December 29, 1946 Theodore married Josephine Pechacek in Tours, Texas. Most his life was spent farming their family land. He also worked for Mid-Tex, Empire, and Star-Tex Propane for 14 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; his parents; sisters, Olene Bordovsky Bonds, Dorothy Bordovsky Jurecka, Frances Bordovsky Morris, Julia Bordovsky Whitaker, and Mary Hudec Polk; brothers, Billy Bordovsky, Robert Bordovsky, Adolph D. Bordovsky, and Joseph Hudec; and granddaughter, Jennifer Bordovsky.

Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Gibson of Axtell; sons, David Bordovsky and wife, Rose of Merkel, Terry Bordovsky and wife, Jeannie of Mount Pleasant, Weldon Bordovsky of Richmond, and Dennis Bordovsky of Elk; sister, Marguerite Bordovsky Brinkley of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Alexis Baker, Chad Bordovsky, James Engledow, Julie Engledow, Michael Bordovsky, and Jason Bordovsky; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his four grandsons; great grandson, Chaice Gholson; and nephews, Charles Bordovsky and Thomas Jurecka.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Bull and his associates, as well as the staff at Bluebonnet Hospice.
