Tommy Ray Forbes of Waco, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at age of 74. A Visitation service will be held Friday evening March the 10th from 6pm to 8pm at The Olive Branch Christian Fellowship at 1101 Columbus Ave, Waco, TX 76701. Pastor Marcel Nelson of Church of the South, Johannesburg South Africa will be officiating. A memorial service will be held at the same location on Saturday morning March the 11th at 11:30am.
Tommy was born on Aug 14th 1942 to W.J. and Margie Forbes. He attended Moody Schools and enlisted in the military in 1958. He retired from the Air Force in 1980 after 20 years of service. He then worked for Waco Transit and retired from there in 2011 after 28 years of faithful service.
He is survived by his loving family: Wife, Debbie Forbes of Waco Texas, his sons, Howard Ray Forbes and wife Karrie of San Antonio, William Jeremy Forbes and wife Kelli of Waco; his two daughters, Melissa Kinzey of Waco and Mary Coffey of Ft. Collins, Colorado; his six grandchildren, Kaylee Forbes, Noelle Forbes, Jamey Forbes, Cody Orr, Allison Orr, Makenzi Forbes; his sister, Louise Benjamin of Portland Oregon; many nieces and nephews.
Tommy never met a person he couldn't talk to or befriend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
