Travis was born March 4, 1930 in Mount Calm, Texas to W. A. ''Boss'' and Allie (Hysaw) Findley.
He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1949 and joined the Army. He served during the Korean War and was Honorably discharged in 1953. He was a carpenter for over 50 years and loved to visit his cabin in Colorado. He enjoyed collecting rocks, arrowheads, art work and antiques.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Julia Findley on July 28, 2011.
Survivors include Delores, Jim, Eric, Kayla, Kylie and Eli Pechacek; Laurie and Brittaney; and his siblings, Betty, Joe and Robert.
The family would like to thank the staff of Waco Healthcare and Rehabilitation, especially Ms. Margaret for their care and support.
