Vance Ernest Long, 80, of Axtell, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his home.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be 10 a.m.
Thursday, October 20th, at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm
Wednesday, October 19th, at Bellmead Funeral Home.
Vance was born September 7, 1936 in Navarro, County, Texas
to Ernest and Kathleen (Black) Long. He served in the Air Force for 4 years,
and was a Truck Driver most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joan
Carrington; his brother, Bobby Long; and his son, Stacy Long.
Survivors include his daughters, Terri Nors and Tonya
Durrett; his sisters, Jenice Olsen, Linda Goodman, Karen Williams and Nancy
Grant; and his grandchildren, Justin Long, Megan Nors, Jessica Nors and Reece
Nors; great grandson, Stacy Long.
