Vanus DeArmon, age 95, formerly of Bellmead, TX, died Oct. 6, 2010, in Iowa Park, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 in the chapel of Bellmead Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Gilliam, son-in-law, officiating. Internment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, TX, under the direction of Bellmead Funeral Home. The family will be accepting visitors from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at Bellmead Funeral Home. Vanus was born in Richland, TX to Thomas C. and Hannah M. McGaugh on Dec. 9, 1914. She graduated from Richland High School. Her husband, Dommie "Dee" DeArmon preceded her in death in 1966. Survivors include daughter, Glenda, and husband, Dr. Larry Gilliam of Irving, daughter, Kay, and husband Bob Jennings of Wichita Falls, daughter, Yeada Gunter of Iowa Park; 4 grandchildren: Valerie Barnett, Rodney Jennings, Stephanie Potter, Tracie Bowman and husband Kelly; 7 great-grandchildren: Zachary Barnett, Sheldon Williams, Macy Williams, Hannah Albright, Heather Bowman, Kyle Bowman and Paige Bowman; 1 brother, Joe McGaugh and wife, Doris, of Corsicana, TX. She was a former resident of Bellmead, TX for 63 years.
