Veronica Sliva, 97, of Lacy-Lakeview passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be recited at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 5th with Father Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lott. Rosary will be recited 6 p.m. Monday, January 4th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead. Veronica was born January 28, 1912 in Marlin to Frank and Pearl Celusniak, She was a homemaker and loving care giver for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Emanuel Sliva. Survivors include daughter, Doloras Robert and husband Jimmy of Lacy-Lakeview, sister-in-law, Irma Paulk of Waco; brothers, Louis Celusniak and wife Gertrude of Houston, and Marion Celusniak and wife Sandy of Ft. Worth; 2 granddaughters, Stephanie Robert, Mary Brown and husband Bobby, grandson, Malcolm Norwood, 2 great-grandchildren, Dulcie Schasteen and husband Kenny, and Landon Brown.Family will receive friends and relatives for lunch at St. Joseph's Parish Hall before service, beginning at noon.
