Vincent Kahler Hilbers 83 of Bellmead passed away Tuesday June 16 at a local nursing home. Memorial services will be 11 am Friday June 19 at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Vincent was born July 24, 1925 in Wayne, Nebraska to Alfred and Gertrude (Graham) Kahler. He served in the Marine Corp. during WWII and married Frances (Pace) Connally on June 28, 1991. He was the service manager at Johnson Brothers Ford and Paul Boyd Chevrolet in Temple for many years. He then retired as a security guard from the Grandbury Power Plant. Vincent was a member of the V.F.W. # 2148 and Robinson Drive Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Frances Hilbers of Bellmead, daughters Sherry Everett and husband Reyn of Gatesville, Carrie Marcovich and husband Peter of Austin, step daughter Gayle Pate and husband Aaron of Bosqueville, sister Larry Nadine Johnson of Georgia, grandchildren Tammy Everett and Zack Everett, step grandchildren Chris and David Pate, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
