Violet Marie Turman was born December 17, 1923 to Ella and Felix Lowe in Malone, Texas. She was the last remaining child of eight children. Graveside services will be 10 am Monday November 16, 2020 at Robinson Cemetery in Robinson, Texas With Pastor Lester Adams Officiating.
Violet had a blessed life and
is survived by daughter, Joyce Gibson; son, Danny and Trish Turman; son, Ricky
and Lynda Turman; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and
nephews.
Violet was preceded in death
by father, Felix Lowe; mother, Ella Lowe; husband, Arvil Turman; granddaughter,
Tabi Doty; grandson, Greg Gibson; and 1 brother and 6 sisters.
Violet died at home in the
early morning on Friday, November 13, 2020.
She was cared for by Reliant At Home Hospice. Her devoted caregivers
were daughter-in-law, Trish Turman; Gladys House, Cheryl Athey and Liz Bell.
Violet's favorite pastime was
country and western dancing with the love of her life, Arvil Turman. Later in
life, she enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and playing Skipbo. She loved God,
family and friends.
She was a great cook and her
way of welcoming family and friends was to feed them. Everyone would head to
her kitchen for Mom's Hot Sauce, chips and sweet iced tea.
What most people do not know
is that Violet once owned and rode a motorcycle. She also won a trophy for car
racing.
Violet had a long interesting
life and will be missed by her family and friends. Anyone who met Violet, loved
her. Violet was a kind, gentle soul.
