Walter F. Boelter, 86, of Waco, passed away Saturday, July 16, at Wesley Woods. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, at Bellmead Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Greg Knippa officiating. Burial will be at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the funeral home.Walter was born August 16, 1923 in Womack, Texas to William Frederick and Ida (Schoenrock) Boelter. He married Lura Mae Latham on March 17, 1945 in Clifton and retired from General Tire Co. in 1985 after 40 years of service. Walter loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening and playing 42. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Patsy Jo Moon in 2008; sister Lena Anz and an infant sister in 1926; and brothers Leroy and Herbert Boelter. Survivors include his wife Lura Mae Boelter of Waco; daughter Barbara Kubitza of Mart; son, Ray Boelter of Waco; sister Ida Mae Sellers of Waco; brother Wilford (Red) Boelter of Bellmead; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dean, Buddy and Bill Boelter, Bob and Jim Anz, Joe Kubitza and Clark Anderson.
