In 1946, Sue married Jimmy Franklin Headley (who died in May 2002). They had two sons, Lance (who died in 1987), and Kyle (who survives her).
Early in life, she loved roller skating, bowling, dancing, camping, fishing, card & domino games, and helping special friends entertain at rest homes and retirement centers. She belonged to several groups, one being a group of friends from her high school days. She and Jim belonged to different Shrine units (Arab/Motor Patrol, RV Campers, Hillbillies and Jesters) that brought years of fun and many friends into her life. She was a prolific writer of fun, quirky poems that she tailored for all kinds of occasions.
She had a second chance of companionship and extended happiness when she and Roy Burton (an old friend who had also lost a spouse of 50+ yrs) were able to spend a number of years together prior to his death.
However, her real enjoyment came from spending time with her grandkids (Jaime, Danny, Letty and Kasey) and her great grandkids (Kylar, Grant, Lauren, Jaxon and Liam).
Proceeding her in death (in addition to husband, Jimmy and son, Lance) are her brothers R.C.Farr (and wife, Ruth) and A.C. ''Tex'' Farr (and wife, Dorothy), sisters Ruby Horan (and husband, John), Louise Radford (and husband, Charlie), Eleanor Harmon (and husband, Trice) and Dea Harris (and husband, Virgil), and brother-in-law, Al Langford.
Survivors include son, Kyle Headley and wife Deborah of Axtell, Tx, grandkids, Jaime Garcia and wife, Laura of Mercedes, Tx, Danny Garcia of Arlington, Tx, Letty Headley of Axtell, Tx, and Kasey Headley and girlfriend, Natalie Popplewell, of Denison, Tx, and great grandkids, Kylar and Grant of Axtell, Tx, and Lauren, Jaxon and Liam of Mercedes, Tx, sister, Willie Mae ''Billo'' Langford of Mississippi, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of ''The Living Bank'', so any usable parts would be available for donation to help someone else live a better life.
We would like to offer a sincere thank you to the entire staff at The Atrium of Bellmead who have taken special care of Sue over the last 3 years, and another thank you to the nurses from Amedisys Hospice who also provided care and assistance during her last few weeks.
There will be a gathering with family and friends at the Mausoleum at the Waco Memorial Park cemetery beginning at 10:00 am on December 15, 2023 to visit and share memories about Sue. There will be a private burial scheduled later.

''When the time has come for me to die,
Keep a smile on your face (please don't cry).
I've had a great family and friends galore
That's the best there is, couldn't want for more.''
