William (Bill) Foster, 87, passed away peacefully at home with
his daughter, Jackie and his wife, Dorothy, (of 54 years) by his side.
Bill was born Sept. 4, 1936 to the late Beryl and Bessie Dickens
Foster in Savannah, New York. Bill graduated from Port Byron
high school in 1955. In Nov. 1955 Bill joined the United States
Army and served 16 months in Korea, then was honorably
discharged in Nov. 1958 while serving in Fort Hood.
Bill is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dawn L. Foster and Joan
M. Race and 2 brothers, Gary Foster and Arthur L. Foster.
Bill is survived by 4 daughters, Cindy McCorkle and husband
Billy, Melinda Walter & significant other, Robert; Stacey Herzog
& significant other, Terry, Jacqueline L. Sanchez and husband
Andy; one son Lowell G. Anderson and wife Juanice; one brother,
Wayne Auburn of New York.
He is survived by 7 grandchildren; Misty Thompson, Jodie
Mondragon, Marckie Matthews, Taylor Walter, Justin Anderson,
Megan Cancelli & Andy Sanchez; several great grandchildren &
2 great great grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and
nephews, one brother-in-law Olis Eaton & Elsie; 3 sister-in-laws
Elsie Eaton of Waco, Jean Eaton of Axtell & Phyllis Foster of
Savannah, New York & several granddogs.
Bill loved boating, races, football, baseball and music of any
kind and could whistle to most of it.
