She would always put the needs and wellbeing of others first, well before her own. Willie Mae was nurturing and empathetic, bringing out the best in others. She retired from the Waco VA hospital where she worked as a cashier in the canteen. Willie Mae enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren participate in sports. She was a great dancer and appreciated Polka and Country music. Willie Mae is also known for her domino and bingo playing skills. Some of her fondest memories were taking day trips with friends and/or family to Oklahoma WinStar or Louisiana Shreveport casinos.
