Willie Rudy Havranek, 94, of Arlington, formerly of Waco, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019.

Willie was born January 16, 1925 in Elk, Texas to Anton and Frances (Kuloza) Havranek. He attend Elk and Waco schools. He served in the Marines from 1943 to 1946 during WWII serving in Tarawa and Okinawa. He worked at General Tire & Rubber Company until retiring in 1986 after 40 years of service. He married Wanda Ray Patterson on October 5, 1963. Willie coached Pee Wee Football in Bellmead in the 1950's and was a member of Bellmead First Baptist Church. He moved to Arlington, Texas to live with his step-daughter and son-in-law in 2006. Willie loved being a Marine and was often quoted as saying "Always A Marine".

Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2019 at Criswell Cemetery with Bobby Bridges officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2019 at Bellmead Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ernest, Richard and Rudolph; and his sisters, Sidney, Millie and Tonye.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Havranek; his step-daughter, Cheryl Moore and her husband, Ron of Arlington; his step-sons, Garry Patterson and his wife, Marlyn of Kennewick, Washington and Harvey Patterson of Garner; his step-grandchildren, Kevin Moore and his wife, Beverly, Eric Moore and his wife, Julie, Justin Moore and his wife, Jessica, Desiree Patterson and Chanda Hanaoui and her husband, Abdel; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Moore, Kevin Moore, Eric Moore, Justin Moore, Clayton Moore and Harrison Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be his other great and great-great grandchildren.
